Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country was and will remain an echo of the voice of the oppressed and the oppressed in every part of the world.
This came in a speech delivered at the Red Crescent awards ceremony held at the Istanbul Conference Hall.
During his speech, Erdogan said that Turkey is hosting the Syrian refugees, pointing out that his country is carrying out the largest aid operation in the world towards the refugees it hosts, stressing that it is doing so without seeking any assistance from any outside party.
Erdogan pointed to the role of the Red Crescent in Turkey in conducting Turkish-led assistance to refugees. “If Turkey is carrying out the largest aid operations towards the refugees, without the need for assistance from any outside party, the Red Crescent plays a big role in this, The voice of the oppressed will remain in every corner of the earth. ”
He added that the current stage requires, as in various fields, in the humanitarian field as well, to collect aid and deliver it to those in need, with faith, honesty and professionalism, adding: “If not, the assistance of our people, through the savings of the material income, will go To the wrong parties, and therefore will go in vain. ”

Turkey has been hosting some 2 million to 700,000 Syrian refugees since the outbreak of the Syrian war, while the number of Iraqi refugees hosting some 300,000 refugees is one of the largest refugee countries.
